Chandlers is proud to announce that our wine program has once again earned a Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, the most recent recognition in a streak that stretches back to 2013. Chandlers was the only Boise restaurant to receive the honor this year. Wine Spectator recognized restaurants across all 50 states and more than 80 countries this year.
The 2026 awards mark one of the most competitive years in the program’s history, with more than 4,000 dining destinations from over 85 countries earning recognition for excellence in their wine lists, cellars, and service. Of those, only 1,830 restaurants worldwide reached the Best of Award of Excellence tier, a level that demonstrates a deeper commitment to wine as an integral part of the dining experience and requires cellars featuring 350 or more selections from top producers with broad regional representation and meaningful vintage depth. Chandlers’ wine list, featuring over 700 selections and more than two dozen wines by the glass, has long exceeded that threshold many times over.
This recognition is not a new development for Chandlers. The restaurant has received Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence every year since 2006, the foundation that enabled Chandlers to first reach the Best of Award of Excellence tier in 2013 and 2014. Since then, that distinction has been maintained every single year, a level of consistency shared by few restaurants in the country.
For Founder Rex Chandler, the wine program has always been inseparable from the broader Chandlers philosophy. A restaurant built on Ranch to Table beef and Jet-Fresh seafood demands a wine list capable of meeting that same standard, glass for glass, course for course. The 2026 award is a continuation of that commitment, one our wine team renews every season as the list evolves alongside the menu.
