It all began in 1974 in Honolulu, Hawaii where I opened my first restaurant, the Rex Restaurant. I knew then exactly what I wanted to be in life, a restaurateur, committed to serving friends and guests the finest food and beverage in the city. After nearly forty years that goal has not changed, throughout my career of operating successful fine dining restaurants in Hawaii, Newport Beach, CA, Sun Valley and now Boise. I remain committed to providing my guests and friends with the finest prime meats, the freshest seafood, top shelf martinis and the best wine selection in the state. Cheers, Rex Chandler

On a quarterly basis, we offer a public event to interested wine and food pairing guests who want to experience an evening of distinctive knowledge, education and delightful offerings. Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence
Wine Spectator magazine has awarded Chandlers with the Best of Award of Excellence – a distinction bestowed to only those restaurants that best exemplify a commitment to offering wines from all of the world’s great wine growing regions. Lists that meet strict requirements are judged on a global level, in all SO states and 75 countries. Chandlers wine list ranked the highest in Idaho. It is with this commitment to excellence and passion for exceptional service that we welcome you to an evening of fine dining.
Our staff of Sommeliers are happy to provide corkage service for your rare, special and celebratory wines. We use the highest quality, varietally appropriate Riedel stemware and decanters. Our corkage fee is $20 per 750ml bottle, however we will waive one fee per bottle ordered from our Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence list. Please consult our list in person or online, as we do not provide corkage service for wines maintained in our inventory. Cheers!
